This project consisted of the Demolition of the 1960s part of the primary school (formally for infant children)
along with slab removal. The red pennant sandstone Victorian building dated as
“1846 British School” is to remain.

Works included the dismantling of dressed stone pillars to facilitate access to the site. The stone was stored on site and the pillars reinstated once the demolition works were completed. Soft strip of internal fixtures and fittings, in-house removal of asbestos containing materials, demolition of existing buildings down to top of floor slab, uplifting of slabs and foundations, crushing and stockpiling at agreed location. Two sections of the site were subject to Tree protection orders, these areas were fenced off to ensure no access.
